Rules and Gameplay

Blackjack hands are valued by adding card points together. For instance, a hand containing 4, 5, and 6 totals 15. Players who bust automatically lose, regardless of the dealer's hand. After placing bets, both player and dealer receive two cards - one dealer card face up. Standard rules require dealers to check for blackjack when showing Ace or 10-value cards. If no dealer blackjack occurs, players must choose from these options:

Unlike games like baccarat which require no skill decisions after betting, blackjack offers strategic opportunities through proper hitting, standing, doubling and splitting choices. The house edge can be reduced to under 1% with perfect basic strategy compared to baccarat's fixed banker bet advantage of approximately 1.06%.
