These aren't just pretty cards; they're your key to choosing specific champions before each arcade match. With over 175 cards across two series (including standard and foil variants), the collecting possibilities are endless. Whether you're aiming for victory or a complete collection, this guide unveils everything you need to know about MCoC Champion Cards.

What Are Champion Cards?

MCoC Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed from Marvel Contest of Champions arcade machines at Dave & Buster's. Each card represents a character from the game and lets you select your champions before a match. If you don't scan a card, the machine randomly assigns champions for you.

Each card showcases a unique Marvel character from MCoC and boasts a rarer foil variant, similar to other collectible arcade cards. Series 1 introduced 75 champions, while Series 2 expanded the roster to a total of 100 cards.

Win or lose, you receive a card after every match. The card you receive is random, ensuring every player has an equal chance at snagging that coveted champion. These cards are drawn from two series: Series 1 (75 champions) and Series 2 (100 champions, including some reskins from Series 1 and new additions). Each card also has a rarer foil variant.

While not required to play the arcade game, Champion Cards add a strategic layer and collectible element. Instead of random champions, players can choose their favorites, enhancing the arcade experience. Note: These cards don't transfer to the mobile version of MCoC.

Champion Card Rarity and Collectibility

MCoC Champion Cards offer a compelling collectible aspect. While all cards function identically in the arcade game, the hunt for a complete set, including those elusive foil versions, adds a thrilling dimension. Series 2 introduced new designs and reskins, resulting in multiple versions of some champions.

The complete card roster includes:

  • Series 1 (2019): 75 champion cards featuring classic MCoC characters.
  • Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, including reskinned Series 1 characters and new additions.
  • Foil variants: Rarer, more valuable versions of standard cards.

Whether you aim for a complete set, specific characters, or just love foil cards, the exclusive nature of these cards—only obtainable at Dave & Buster's—makes them highly sought after.
