Purpose:

This app showcases the Stroop Effect, a fascinating phenomenon that occurs when the visual color perceived by the eyes conflicts with the word representing that color processed by the brain.

Background:

The Stroop Effect challenges our cognitive abilities. Eye nerves transmit signals to the brain faster than the rational mind, which requires time for processing. Under time pressure, this discrepancy creates an impulse to choose the incorrect answer. To achieve accuracy, we must consciously focus and think quickly.

Instructions:

• Select one of two modes:

  • "Get Meaning, Put Color" (Stroop Effect): Understand the meaning and click the button with the corresponding color.
  • "Get Color, Put Meaning": Recognize the color and click the button with the correct written color.
• Answer questions as quickly and accurately as possible.
• Aim to achieve all correct answers and gradually reduce your response time.
