Crazy Games and Photon Kick Off 10-Day Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025
CrazyGames is thrilled to announce the launch of the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, set to kick off this week. This exciting 10-day developer event, running from April 25th to May 5th, is being held in partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider. Indie developers from around the globe are invited to participate in this innovative game development marathon focused on crafting web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 will have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses. The available licenses include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict guidelines for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these requirements, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar and explore new possibilities in multiplayer gaming.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to offer smooth browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In collaboration with Photon, CrazyGames will provide support throughout the event and offer the opportunity for winning games to be showcased on its platform.
Ahead of the jam, a pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This livestream will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world's most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a great opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. To learn more and register, visit the official jam page.
