Agung and Arip, two adventurous friends, found themselves on the outskirts of an unfamiliar region during a weekend hike. As they ventured deeper into the dense forest, they stumbled upon a village shrouded in mystery and dread: The South Meraung Village.

The village was eerily silent, with dilapidated houses and overgrown vegetation claiming what once might have been a bustling community. Agung, always the more curious of the two, couldn't resist exploring further. He wandered off, leaving Arip behind, who was busy studying an ancient map they had found earlier.

As Agung delved deeper into the village, he felt an unsettling chill that seemed to seep into his bones. The air grew thick with a palpable sense of foreboding. Suddenly, the ground beneath him shifted, and he fell into a hidden pit, landing with a thud. Panic surged through him as he realized he was trapped.

Meanwhile, Arip, noticing Agung's prolonged absence, began to search for his friend. His calls echoed through the village, unanswered, intensifying his anxiety. As he navigated the narrow, winding paths, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Shadows seemed to move independently of the light, and whispers filled the air, though no source could be seen.

Determined to find Agung, Arip pressed on, guided by the map which seemed to lead him toward the heart of the village. There, he discovered a crumbling temple covered in ominous symbols. A chilling breeze swept through the area, carrying with it the faint sound of Agung's voice calling for help.

Inside the temple, Arip found a hidden passage leading to an underground chamber. There, he found Agung, bruised but alive, frantically trying to escape from the pit. With a surge of adrenaline, Arip managed to pull Agung to safety. But their relief was short-lived.

As they tried to leave the chamber, the walls began to close in, trapping them. Desperate, Arip remembered the map and noticed a small, cryptic note on the back: "The blood of the living shall free the cursed." With no other options, Arip pricked his finger and let a drop of blood fall onto the ground.

The walls halted, and a hidden door creaked open, revealing a passage back to the surface. They emerged into the twilight, gasping for breath, as the village seemed to sigh in relief. The oppressive atmosphere lifted, replaced by a serene calm.

As they made their way back to civilization, Agung and Arip vowed never to speak of The South Meraung Village again, haunted by the memory of their narrow escape from a great danger that lurked within its forsaken walls.
