What is RSTI?

The Self-Employed Workers' Social Scheme (RSTI) is a groundbreaking social coverage initiative by the National Social Security Fund (CNPS). It's designed to provide comprehensive protection to self-employed individuals, covering them against illness, accidents, and maternity. Upon reaching retirement age, participants are entitled to a lifelong pension, ensuring long-term financial security.

Who is a Self-Employed Worker?

RSTI targets all self-employed workers residing in Côte d'Ivoire, whether they are Ivorian or foreign nationals. This inclusive regime extends its protective umbrella to a wide array of professions including farmers, artisans, traders, transporters, athletes, artists, consultants, miners, non-salaried entrepreneurs, religious workers, and even Ivorians working abroad.

What Are the Advantages of RSTI?

In the unfortunate event of illness or an accident leading to incapacity, self-employed individuals receive income based on their declared earnings to the CNPS. For maternity, beneficiaries are entitled to income for 98 days. Upon reaching the age of 60, retirees benefit from a lifelong pension. In the event of the insured's death, this pension is transferred to their designated beneficiaries under specific conditions.
