ArtClash - Paint Draw & Sketch

Paint, draw, and share your creations with others! ArtClash is currently in early access, with more features on the way. We're not aiming to be Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter. We are ArtClash.

ArtClash is designed to inspire daily drawing, sketching, and cartooning practice. The first game is complete, but we're actively developing more.

Free draw, or participate in themed challenges. Choose from various topics and optional constraints (time limits, color palettes, canvas size) to earn points based on correct guesses from others.

This is a solo project created to foster daily practice for my wife and me, and to encourage others to join in.

Current Features:

• Paint, sketch, and blend
• Import images for reference or painting over
• Participate in themed challenges, earn points for correct guesses
• Six difficulty levels for topics (single words to five-word phrases)
• Three constraint options for extra points: time, colors, or canvas size
• Free drawing and sharing capabilities
• NSFW flag for content filtering

Current Early Access Issues/Bugs:

• Unpolished UI: We're planning to replace the Unity UI with XAML for improved performance and responsiveness.
• Performance on lower-end devices: Large canvases (>1024x1024) can slow down the GPU-accelerated brush engine. We're exploring engine optimization options for future improvements.

Upcoming Features:

• Additional games (starting with a drawing-based "telephone" game)
• Enhanced social features (custom avatars, comments, friend system, following)
• Improved UI and faster brush engine (addressing current issues)
• Marquee selection and transform tools
• Expanded brush library (user-submitted brushes planned)
• Advanced layer system (locking transparent pixels, masking, etc.)
• Developer communication system (feedback, bug reporting, feature voting)
• Moderator system for content review
• User-submitted topics and constraints (after moderation)
• Future expansion to include full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

Due to current performance limitations with large textures and the lack of full editing features, ArtClash is not intended as a complete image editing suite at this time. Its focus is on social competition and artistic encouragement.
