Russian Checkers 8×8

In Russian checkers, white starts the game, and all pieces move on dark squares. You must capture an opponent's piece if possible, with captures allowed both forward and backward. Kings have the freedom to move and capture along any diagonal. The Turkish strike rule is in effect, allowing only one capture per move. If multiple capture options exist, you can choose any. When a piece reaches the opponent's edge, it becomes a king and can play immediately if possible.

A draw is declared under several conditions, such as when a player with checkers and three (or more) kings faces a lone king and cannot capture within 15 moves, or when the game's balance remains unchanged over specified moves in endgames, or when three or more repetitions of the same position occur.

International Checkers 10×10

In International checkers, similar to Russian, white begins, and pieces move on dark squares. Capturing is mandatory, possible in both directions. Kings can move and capture diagonally. The Turkish strike applies, and the majority rule dictates choosing the capture that takes the most pieces. If a piece captures to the opponent's edge but can continue capturing, it remains a regular piece. However, reaching the edge by a move or capture turns it into a king, stopping its movement until the next turn.
