Application Description

To ensure the security of your WiFi network, it's crucial to check for any potential vulnerabilities, especially those related to the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) protocol. WPSApp is a tool designed to evaluate your network's security by leveraging the WPS protocol, which allows devices to connect to WiFi using an 8-digit pin number that's often pre-set in the router. Unfortunately, the pins for many routers from various manufacturers are either publicly known or can be easily calculated, which poses a significant security risk.

Using WPSApp, you can assess your network's vulnerability. The application implements several known algorithms for pin generation and includes a list of default pins. It also calculates default keys for certain routers, allows you to view WiFi passwords stored on your device, scans for devices connected to your network, and analyzes the quality of WiFi channels.

The app's interface is user-friendly. When you scan networks around you, networks marked with a red cross are considered "secure" because they have the WPS protocol disabled and their default passwords are unknown. Networks with a question mark have WPS enabled, but the pin is unknown; in this case, WPSApp lets you test the most common pins. Networks with a green tick are likely vulnerable, as they have WPS enabled and the connection pin is known. Alternatively, a network may appear in green if the WPS is disabled but the password is known, allowing connection with the key.

To fully utilize the app's features, such as viewing passwords, connecting on Android 9/10, and accessing additional functions, you need to be a Root user. It's important to note that not all networks are vulnerable, and even if a network appears to be, it doesn't guarantee 100% vulnerability. Many companies have updated their router firmware to address these issues.

If your network is found to be vulnerable, take immediate action by turning off WPS and changing your password to a strong, personalized one. Remember, unauthorized access to other networks is illegal, and I am not responsible for any misuse of this information.

From Android 6 (Marshmallow) onwards, you must grant location permissions to use WPSApp, a new requirement from Google. For more information, visit: Android 6.0 Changes.

Some Samsung models encrypt passwords, displaying them as a long series of hexadecimal digits. If you're affected, you can find decryption methods online or contact the app's developer. Additionally, pin connections don't work on LG models with Android 7 (Nougat) due to issues with LG's software.
