Room Rush Is a Party Game that’s Like Dress to Impress, but with Interior Design

Petricore, a Massachusetts-based tech and XR software company, has launched its newest game on Meta Horizon called Room Rush—its first mobile Horizon World developed in partnership with Meta.
Room Rush is like Dress to Impress, but for homes
It blends home makeover, VR, and reality TV into one experience. What more could you want? The game draws inspiration from titles like Dress to Impress, but swaps fashion for interior design.
Players step into the role of contestants on a fictional home-building TV show. The game begins in a waiting room that doubles as an interactive tutorial zone.
From there, you can explore a sample showroom to learn how furniture snapping, prop placement, and controls work before heading to the main stage.
Once the round starts, teams are divided and assigned unique rooms and themes—ranging from everyday styles like Modern and Gamer to wilder concepts like Haunted, Mismatched, and Hoarders. Some rounds challenge you to fit as many chairs as possible into a single space.
The building phase centers on four color-coded kiosks placed in the middle of the stage. Each kiosk provides items matching your team’s assigned color. But you’ll have limited time, a restricted number of items to place, and can only carry one object at a time.

Once the timer runs out, it’s judging time ---------------------------------------------Teams get 25 seconds to showcase their completed rooms, while all other teams rate each design from 1 to 5 stars—just like in DTI. Winning teams earn Stars, the game’s in-game currency.
At launch, Room Rush includes 25 furniture packs and 5 room style packs, offering decor options from Minimalist to Maximalist. The game supports up to 12 players simultaneously.
A home makeover contest where players have just minutes to prove they can decorate under pressure. Would you give it a try? Download the Meta Horizon mobile app to find out.
