Town of Salem

Town of Salem is an immersive multiplayer game that plunges players into a world filled with murder, accusations, deceit, and the frenzy of mob hysteria. This strategic game offers a unique experience with each playthrough, involving elements of mystery and social deduction.

How to Play

Town of Salem accommodates between 7 to 15 players, who are randomly assigned to different alignments such as Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists, and Neutrals. If you find yourself as a Town member, your mission is to identify and eliminate the Mafia and other villains before they can wipe out the Town. The challenge lies in the fact that the identities of the Town members and the villains are unknown to each other.

On the flip side, if you're playing an evil role like a Serial Killer, your goal is to secretly eliminate Town members under the cover of night while evading detection.

Roles

With 33 unique roles, Town of Salem ensures a diverse gameplay experience. Before the game begins, players gather in a lobby where the host can choose which roles will be available. Once the game starts, roles are randomly assigned from the selected list. Each player receives an in-game role card detailing their abilities and alignment. Game Phases

Night

The night phase is crucial as it's when most roles exercise their abilities. Serial Killers carry out their murders stealthily, Doctors protect potential victims, and Sheriffs conduct investigations to uncover suspicious activities.

Day

During the day phase, Town members engage in discussions to pinpoint suspects among them. As the voting phase begins, a majority vote can lead to a trial.

Defense

In the defense phase, the accused gets a chance to argue their innocence. A compelling defense can save them from the gallows.

Judgement

The judgement phase is where the Town votes on the fate of the accused. Players can vote guilty, innocent, or abstain. A majority of guilty votes results in the accused being hanged.

Customization

Town of Salem allows players to personalize their experience by choosing their map (town setting), character, pet, lobby icon, death animation, house, and a custom name. These selections are visible to other players in the game.

Achievements

The game features over 200 unique achievements. Completing these can reward players with various in-game items, enhancing the gameplay and offering more ways to engage with the community.
