After weeks of player frustration and unanswered questions, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally addressed concerns surrounding the troubled Version 1.5 update. As many players noticed, the release felt incomplete—and now, the developers have confirmed that they were indeed unprepared for its launch. As a direct consequence, Version 1.6 has been officially delayed.

Version 1.5 originally launched on April 28th, with Version 1.6 scheduled for June 4th. That update is now postponed to June 12th, effectively extending the current Bubble Season.

All ongoing events—including Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?—will remain active until the new patch date. Additionally, in-game stores such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will stay available longer. Weekly tasks like Starlit Pursuit, initially set for May 20th, will also carry over into Version 1.6.

The development team has issued an official apology, acknowledging performance issues across platforms—including PlayStation. They are currently optimizing gameplay systems and have reassured players that storylines such as Threads of Reunion are not canceled, only postponed.

Beyond the Delay – What Else Is Happening in Infinity Nikki?
In recent weeks, the game has suffered from numerous bugs, malfunctioning quests, and broken co-op features. As a form of compensation, players will receive 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal daily from June 5th to June 12th, but must log in each day to claim the reward.

Some members of the community view this gesture as a last-ditch effort to retain engagement following the rocky updates. Player disappointment has grown further as promotional banners for new outfits began appearing shortly after the apology was posted.
