Remedy Unveils Latest Game Development Projects

According to Remedy's latest annual report, Control 2 has triumphantly passed the concept validation stage and has now entered full production. This marks a pivotal milestone, signaling that the project is confidently progressing forward.

In addition to Control 2, two other exciting projects are actively under development: FBC: Firebreak and the highly anticipated remakes of Max Payne 1+2. Just a year ago, these games were still in the preparation phase, but they've now successfully advanced to the next stage of development. However, it's worth noting that the project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from Remedy's plans. This project was canceled back in May of last year.

All these projects are being crafted using Remedy's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has already demonstrated its prowess in titles like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy projects.

When it comes to budget, Control 2 is set with an estimated budget of 50 million euros. This ambitious title will be self-published by Remedy and is slated for release on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. On the other hand, FBC: Firebreak comes with a slightly more modest budget of 30 million euros. This project will be accessible through PlayStation and Xbox subscription services at launch, and will also be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The remakes of Max Payne 1+2 continue to be shrouded in mystery regarding their budget, but it is confirmed that they will be developed to AAA standards. Both development and marketing for these remakes are fully funded by Rockstar Games.
