Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Misty Island: A Comprehensive Guide to Power Cells and Scout Flies

Misty Island, a location central to the plot of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, presents a formidable challenge for Jak and Daxter. This guide details how to overcome the obstacles and acquire all the Power Cells and Scout Flies the island holds.

Accessing Misty Island:

Before venturing to Misty Island, you must assist the fisherman in the Forbidden Jungle's river by helping him catch 200 pounds of fish. This earns you a Power Cell and access to the Speedboat in Sandover Village, your transport to Misty Island.

1. The Sculptor's Muse:

Your initial task is retrieving the Sculptor's Lost Muse, a golden creature resembling Daxter. Located near the docks, the Muse is elusive. Chase it, utilizing roll jumps to traverse gaps and strategically intercept it during sharp turns. Once captured, return the Muse to the Sculptor in Sandover Village for a Power Cell (save this for later).

2. Blue Eco and the Precursor Door:

After acquiring the Muse, locate a platforming area with blue eco orbs. Collect the blue eco and use the charged energy on the Precursor Platform to cross a gap and obtain a Power Cell.

3. The Dark Eco Pool Arena:

Return to the area where your Misty Island adventure began. Enter the Precursor Door, triggering an arena battle against waves of Lurkers. Use their dropped Red Eco to your advantage and evade falling explosives. Victory unlocks a staircase leading to the Dark Eco Pool and another Power Cell.

4. The Lurker Ship:

Head right from the arena to the Bay and cross the bridge to the Lurker Ship. Climb the ship's right side to reach the top and claim a Power Cell.

5. The Cannon:

Ascend the ramp, skillfully dodging rolling and bouncing logs thrown by Lurkers. Utilize the side platforms for respite. Eliminate the two Lurkers guarding the cannon at the top for a Power Cell. Use the cannon to destroy metal boxes in the arena below for Precursor Orbs.

6. Balloon Lurkers:

Access the Zoomer at the Lurker Ship's opposite bridge. Navigate the bay, using the Zoomer's hop and maneuverability to target and destroy five Balloon Lurkers, earning a Power Cell. Remember to avoid the explosive mines.

7. Zoomer Power Cell:

Ascend the ramp (as shown in the image) and navigate around the rock formation. Accelerate and execute a well-timed hop to reach the Precursor Orbs and Power Cell.

8. Scout Flies (7 Total):

Seven Scout Flies are hidden across Misty Island:

• Fly 1: Found along the Muse's route; use a seesaw and ground pound to reach the cliff.
• Flies 2 & 3: Located near the arena door; traverse the crumbling path.
• Fly 4: Found to the left of the arena exit; use a seesaw to reach the cliff overlooking the bay.
• Flies 5 & 6: Situated on the Lurker Ship and on a side platform along the log-laden ramp.
• Fly 7: Located near the top of the ramp used to reach the Zoomer Power Cell.

After collecting all Power Cells and Scout Flies, return the Muse to the Sculptor in Sandover Village to complete your Misty Island adventure.
