Ex-Consultant on Scrapped Wonder Woman Game

The cancellation of the Wonder Woman game and the shutdown of Monolith Productions by Warner Bros. disappointed many fans. However, comic book writer and consultant Gail Simone, who worked with Monolith on the title, has praised the game's quality, describing it as truly incredible.
Simone shared that the canceled project was an exceptional accomplishment. “It was absolutely stunning. While I cannot reveal specific details for various reasons, I can tell you the team worked tirelessly to create more than just a great game—it was designed to be an outstanding Wonder Woman adventure, a genuine benchmark epic,” she explained.
Simone highlighted the commitment of everyone on the project. “Every person involved gave their absolute best. The programmers, artists, designers—every team member cared deeply about polishing the final product to near perfection. I have seldom collaborated with a group so focused on achieving excellence.”
Monolith reportedly dedicated significant energy to linking every element of the game to the DC Universe, ensuring depth and authenticity. According to Simone, comic book enthusiasts would have considered the game a “dream come true.” Though canceled, the project stands as a testament to the studio’s ambition and creativity, leaving a legacy of what might have been a defining moment in superhero gaming.
