The Witcher saga continues! Nearly a decade after the critically acclaimed Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red has unveiled the first trailer for The Witcher 4, starring Ciri as the protagonist.

Ciri, Geralt's adopted daughter, takes center stage as the Witcher 3 saga concludes. The trailer shows Ciri intervening in a village gripped by superstitious fear, where a young woman is to be sacrificed to a monster. Ciri's intervention reveals a far more complex threat than initially apparent.

While no official release date is set, considering the development times of Witcher 3 (3.5-4 years) and Cyberpunk 2077, a 3-4 year timeframe for Witcher 4 seems plausible. Given the early stage of development, a release within that timeframe is a reasonable expectation.

Platform specifics remain unannounced, but given the anticipated release window, a current-generation console focus (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC) is likely. A Switch port, while successful for Witcher 3, appears less feasible this time, though a potential Switch 2 release is possible.
