Valheim Merchant Locations and Inventory Guide: Find Haldor, Hildir, and the Bog Witch

Valheim's challenging gameplay is punctuated by the helpful presence of merchants. Locating these traders, however, can be tricky due to the game's procedurally generated worlds. This guide details the whereabouts and inventory of Haldor (Black Forest), Hildir (Meadows), and the Bog Witch (Swamp).

How to Find Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, often the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of your world's center. He's located in the Black Forest, an area accessible relatively early in the game. He's frequently found near The Elder's spawn point (often near glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). For a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact location based on your world seed. Once located, build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold obtained from exploring dungeons and selling gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.).

How to Find Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir resides in the Meadows biome but is harder to locate than Haldor due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center, with spawn points approximately 1000m apart). The Valheim World Generator is recommended. Alternatively, search Meadows within the specified radius; a T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're within 300-400m. Build a portal upon discovery. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and unique quests leading to new dungeons (Smouldering Tombs, Howling Caverns, Sealed Towers) and additional inventory items.

How to Find the Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, located in the treacherous Swamp biome (3000-8000m from the world center, spawn points 1000m apart), is best found using the Valheim World Generator. Look for her Cauldron icon on approach. She offers ingredients for new foods and meads.
