Feral Interactive has released a significant new update for "Total War: MEDIEVAL II" on Android. This latest patch substantially expands the game's multiplayer and tactical combat systems. Dubbed the 'Hotseats and Halberds' update, it introduces a host of exciting new features.

The Desktop "Kingdoms" Experience Arrives on Mobile

The standout feature of this update is the introduction of Hotseat multiplayer. Previously exclusive to the "Kingdoms" expansion on PC, this mode is now available on mobile for both the "Kingdoms" campaigns and the Grand Campaign.

Players take turns on a single device, each commanding their chosen faction. The mode supports both cooperative and competitive play, and even includes a Battle Royale option with unique victory conditions.

Another key addition is a new Cohesion system for Pikemen units. Historically, these formations would break down when individual soldiers switched to swords. Now, they will maintain their braced pike formation and discipline much more effectively unless they suffer severe losses.

Halberdiers have also been refined to serve as a genuine late-game counterpart to traditional spearmen. The improvements increase their effectiveness, particularly against heavily armored infantry.

Units wielding two-handed weapons, like Zweihanders, Daneaxes, and great clubs, have received stat adjustments. They now benefit from a new cohesion-disruption trait and general combat enhancements.

A More Polished Experience

Gunpowder troops like Arquebusiers and Musketeers often felt inferior to archers and crossbowmen due to their slower, ranked firing mechanics. This update refines their core firing behavior for better performance.

Naval combat sees adjustments, including modified movement speeds for late-era ships. Several late-period unshielded knight units have had their defensive stats rebalanced. The Ribault artillery piece is also among the units receiving tweaks.

Explore all these changes by downloading the game on the Google Play Store. This update offers a wealth of new content to experience.
