Top Leafeon Ex Decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Leafeon Ex's power stems not from its Solar Beam attack, which deals 70 damage for three energy, but from its Forest Breath ability. When Leafeon Ex is in the Active Spot, Forest Breath lets you attach a Grass Energy to one of your Grass-type Pokémon.

This naturally synergizes well with the Mythical Island powerhouse, Celebi Ex, though that's its primary partner.

Celebi Ex (Grass Energy)

2x Eevee (Space-Time Smackdown) 2x Leafeon Ex 2x Celebi 2x Professor’s Research 2x Dawn 2x Erika 1x Sabrina 2x Giant’s Cape 2x Poke Ball 2x Potion 1x Pokemon Communication

This deck's goal is to establish Leafeon Ex in the Active Spot, sustaining it with Giant’s Capes, Erika, and Potions, while using Forest Breath to power up both it and Celebi Ex simultaneously. With 140 HP, Leafeon Ex can withstand most aggressive Pokémon long enough to retreat into a Celebi Ex loaded with 3 to 4 energy.

Success hinges on knowing when to charge Leafeon Ex or to bypass it, funneling both generated energies to Celebi Ex each turn. It's a straightforward strategy that worked well with Exeggutor Ex in Leafeon's place; however, this version has far greater scaling potential. Use Dawn freely to add more power to Celebi Ex.

Yanmega Ex (Grass Energy)

2x Eevee (Space-Time Smackdown) 2x Leafeon Ex 2x Yanma 2x Yanmega Ex 2x Professor’s Research 2x Dawn 2x Erika Giant’s Cape 2x Potion 2x Pokemon Communication

While the Celebi Ex list is Leafeon Ex's most likely home, Yanmega Ex can also be a strong partner. Yanmega Ex's Air Slash deals 120 damage for three Colorless energy but requires discarding an energy after attacking. Leafeon Ex helps load Yanmega Ex with energy, enabling consecutive attacks.

Erika helps keep both 140 HP Pokémon alive during this process, though you'll want two Giant's Capes to push them past the crucial 150 HP threshold. Overall, this is a rush-down deck that could potentially outpace the Exeggutor Ex decks common in Grass-type strategies.

Although pairings like Venusaur Ex have potential, they're unlikely to surpass the two decks above. Therefore, these are the best Pokémon TCG Pocket decks to test your new Leafeon Ex in.
