Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Titles Revealed, Feature Enhanced Zelda

by Max Jun 08,2026

A day after the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, let's examine the top sellers on the new console's eShop and gauge the popularity of those relatively minimal Zelda visual upgrades.

Currently topping the Switch 2 eShop charts is Mario Kart World, the flagship launch title likely purchased by most console owners alongside the system itself.

Its leading position is no surprise. Anyone who bought a Switch 2 bundle including Mario Kart World contributed to this ranking, as redeeming the included eShop code and downloading the digital version counts as a sale.

Perhaps more surprising is the runner-up: Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition. Developer CD Projekt Red is undoubtedly pleased with its latest title's strong performance on Switch 2, especially after skipping Nintendo's previous console. With the hardware now capable of rendering Night City, Switch 2 owners are seizing the opportunity to experience this open-world RPG. Earlier this week, IGN discussed with CD Projekt Red how they successfully adapted Cyberpunk 2077 for the Switch 2.

In third place is Nintendo's own Switch 2 Welcome Tour. This $10 collection of mini-games and tech demos is something many fans argue should have been free—a sentiment I share after a brief hands-on session last night. Part tutorial, part interactive museum exhibit, the Welcome Tour is at least reasonably priced. (Note that you'll need a camera and a separate controller or grip with GL/GR buttons to access all its content.)

The fourth best-selling title on the Switch 2 eShop is Fast Fusion, a game that might be unfamiliar to some. This high-speed sci-fi racer is a notable part of the console's launch lineup. Developer Shin'en Multimedia previously released the similar Fast RMX as a launch title for the original Switch back in March 2017. The series' popularity among Nintendo fans is largely because it effectively serves as a spiritual successor to F-Zero. With no new F-Zero game from Nintendo on the horizon, dedicated fans have embraced it.

The fifth best-selling item isn't a full game but an upgrade: the $10 enhancement for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Its high chart position is intriguing, as Nintendo Switch Online subscribers receive this add-on with their membership. Perhaps fans want permanent access, or maybe they're unaware it's included. Either way, its popularity confirms Nintendo's bet that players would pay for better graphics—a feature offered for free in upgrades for other titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet—plus a new mobile app.

Ranking sixth is Deltarune, which released its newest chapters this week. Seventh is the $10 upgrade pack for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Being an older title, it likely has fewer active players compared to Tears of the Kingdom.

Eighth place belongs to the relaxing RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Ninth place is held by Square Enix's Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, followed by Yakuza 0 and Street Fighter 6: Year 1-2 Fighter's Edition.

Further down, the full Switch 2 Editions of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild bookend Hitman: World of Assassination. Rounding out the chart is Hogwarts Legacy, whose Switch 2 version includes several graphical improvements. A $10 upgrade is available for this Harry Potter prequel RPG if you owned the original Switch version.
