Spotify Outage Alert: Service Down

Heads up: the popular music streaming service, Spotify, experienced an outage this morning. According to IGN's sister site, Downdetector, reports of the Spotify outage started flooding in around 6 a.m. PT today. Throughout the morning, many users, including ourselves, were unable to access the service. Even when we managed to open the app, it refused to play music, leaving fans of their favorite tunes in the lurch.

Spotify has officially acknowledged the issues and is actively working to resolve them as swiftly as possible. The company has also debunked rumors circulating on social media, confirming that the outage is not related to a security hack. In a statement posted on their official status account, Spotify reassured users:

We are aware of the outage and working to resolve it as soon as possible. The reports of this being a security hack are false.
