Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Last Chance to Save $300

Sonos rarely discounts their popular speakers, so snagging a great deal when you see one is a smart move. Currently, both Amazon and Walmart are offering a significant discount on one of Sonos' top-tier products—the Arc soundbar. You can get it for just $599, which is a hefty $300 off the original price. The Arc has been discontinued and replaced by the new Arc Ultra, making this a potentially once-in-a-lifetime deal. It's sold out on Sonos' website and might only reappear in their Refurbished section.

Until the recent launch of the Arc Ultra, the Sonos Arc was the flagship soundbar. Priced at $1,000, the Arc Ultra hasn't seen any discounts yet. The Arc, a 45-inch premium soundbar, features eleven meticulously engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers. It's also equipped with Dolby Atmos and two dedicated height channels, ensuring an immersive audio experience. The Arc integrates seamlessly with other Sonos speakers and subs, making it ideal for those who want high-quality sound without the usual AV setup hassle. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and a built-in microphone for voice commands.

The Arc Ultra, while similar in appearance to the Arc, boasts significant internal upgrades. It's slightly larger, measuring 1.5" wider, 0.4" shorter, and 0.4" shallower. With fourteen speakers, including seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer, the Arc Ultra delivers superior bass and clearer dialogue. It also includes Bluetooth, a feature missing from the original Arc.

Sonos Arc Ultra Review by Nick Woodard

"With the Arc Ultra, Sonos has enhanced an already industry-leading soundbar in several key areas. The sound quality is markedly better, with enhanced bass and a more immersive experience thanks to its expanded ensemble of drivers. Bluetooth support and Android Trueplay compatibility are welcome additions. While there are minor criticisms, and Sonos is still navigating challenges with their app and headphones, the Arc Ultra reaffirms their position as a leader in wireless audio technology."
