Riot Games' MMO: Far from Finished
Riot Games made a notable appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where co-founder Marc Merrill shared exciting insights with Stephen Totilo post-event. A key highlight was Merrill's enthusiasm for an upcoming MMO set within the expansive universe of League of Legends and Arcane. This ambitious project is consuming much of his focus, fueled by his passion for the genre and a strong belief in its potential success, driven by the deep desire of League of Legends fans to further immerse themselves in their beloved universe.
While specifics about the MMO, including a release timeline, remain under wraps, Merrill humorously remarked that he hopes the game will be ready before humans set foot on Mars. This playful comment leaves fans eagerly anticipating more concrete details in the future.
In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also developing another title set in the League of Legends universe—2XKO, a much-anticipated fighting game. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already released trailers and is slated for a launch before the year's end, giving fans a definitive timeline to look forward to.
