by Simon May 25,2025

The Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault has unveiled its eight finalists, solidifying its status as a premier eSports event. With an impressive turnout of 515,000 players from 221 countries participating in 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches, the competition to reach the Final Stage was fierce. The eight exceptional finalists who have earned their spot are set to compete in an unforgettable event.

Reigning champion Alessandro Bianco will defend his title against a talented lineup including Hizir Balkanci, winner of the first Open Qualifier, alongside Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. The showdown is scheduled for May 24th at the prestigious Roland-Garros Tenniseum.

Adding to the excitement, this year's tournament introduces a thrilling new format. The eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world Number 6 and a finalist from last year, will captain one team, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli will lead the other.

In a series of intense matches, the teams will compete, with the victors advancing to the Winner Bracket. The competition doesn't end there; eliminated players will have a second chance in the Loser Bracket, where teams dissolve, and the battle continues until one player is crowned the Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

To keep the audience engaged, the event will feature the renowned French personality and Twitch streamer Samuel Etienne, who boasts over 1 million followers. He will be joined by eSports expert Quento and former Tennis Clash number 1 player Benny, known as GP365. The tournament will be brought to life with a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom outfits, all under the watchful eye of esteemed French umpire Aurélie Tourte, who will officiate the thrilling matches.

The event will welcome 250 spectators at the auditorium and will be broadcast live on Samuel Etienne’s Twitch channel and the Roland-Garros YouTube channel starting at 4pm CEST. Viewers can look forward to watching every match and engaging in interactive segments, with special guests contributing to passionate discussions and adding fun to the worlds of tennis and eTennis.
