Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners and game of the year announced

The Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners are finally here, following two months of nominations and voting! While some winners were expected, a few surprises emerged from the public vote. This year's mobile gaming landscape has been exceptionally strong, and the results reflect that impressive growth.

The journey has been remarkable, showcasing the industry's evolution since the awards' inception in 2010 (with only one reader's choice category then). Witnessing the nomination process from October has been a truly rewarding experience. The success isn't just about the sheer volume of votes (which was significant!), but also the feeling that, for the first time, the winners genuinely represent the breadth of the mobile gaming industry.

The list includes giants like NetEase (with Sony's Destiny IP), Tencent-backed Supercell, and Scopely; established publishers such as Konami and Bandai Namco; and beloved indie developers like Rusty Lake and Emoak. This year also saw a surge in successful ports, mirroring the trend of PC games adapting mobile classics, but in reverse. This is clearly reflected in the impressive selection of award-winning ports.

Without further ado, here are the winners:
