Hunt a New Monster

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February.

Following the success of the initial beta, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced a second phase on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel, providing another opportunity to test the game before its February 28th launch.

The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta includes new content not featured in the first test, such as hunting the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster.

Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, but progress will not be saved. Participants will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a bonus item pack to aid early gameplay.

Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating, "We heard many of you missed the first beta or wanted to play again." He added that the team is diligently working on finalizing the full game. Note that the upcoming beta will not include recent fixes, as these are still under development.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready for the hunt!
