Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Returns to Esports World Cup 2025

Following the apparent success of the Esports World Cup 2024, several publishers have announced the return of their popular titles for the 2025 edition. Hot on the heels of Garena's Free Fire confirmation, Moonton has officially announced that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will also be featured.

The 2024 tournament included two Mobile Legends: Bang Bang events: the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational. These events brought together teams from around the globe to compete in Riyadh. Selangor Red Giants emerged victorious in the MSC, while Smart Omega Empress defeated Team Vitality (ending their impressive 25-game win streak) to claim the Women's Invitational title.

A Strong Showing, But Is It Enough?

While most games from the 2024 Esports World Cup are returning, a notable observation is the relative scale of the featured competitions. The inclusion of a mid-season cup as MLBB's main event might suggest that the Esports World Cup is considered a secondary event rather than the primary focus for some titles. This is a double-edged sword; it avoids overshadowing established leagues, but it could also be perceived as less prestigious than other major tournaments.

Despite this, fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will undoubtedly welcome its return to this high-profile competition. If this news has piqued your interest, be sure to check out our Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tier list to learn about the top-tier characters!
