Milly Alcock, known for her portrayal of the young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the acclaimed series "House of the Dragon," faced an unexpected challenge early in her journey on the show. The Australian actress, who has since been nominated for a Critics Choice award, revealed on "The Tonight Show" that she was told she needed an acting coach just two days into filming. "On my second day on House of the Dragon, one of the, I’m not gonna say who, but someone very high up, pulled me aside and was like, ‘Um, we’re gonna get you an acting coach,’" Alcock recounted, admitting she felt "mortified" by the suggestion.

In a light-hearted moment, Alcock shared how the incident served as a humbling experience. "It just confirmed everything that I’ve kind of known to be true, [which] is that I’m not very good at my job," she quipped, adding, "You know what I mean! I was like, ‘I can’t do this. This is terrible. This is a big mistake.’"

Despite the rocky start, Alcock's performance as the daughter and heir to King Viserys I Targaryen in Season 1 of "House of the Dragon" was well-received. She appeared as a series regular in the first season and made a guest appearance in Season 2. The role of the adult Rhaenyra Targaryen, who ascends to become Queen, is played by Emma D’Arcy.
