MiHoYo’s Upcoming Animal Crossing-Like Game Astaweave Haven Now Has a New Name!

HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is keeping busy! Their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, has a new name: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes.

If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you might have already heard of Astaweave Haven. While official details from MiHoYo remain scarce, it seems this new title will be a departure from their usual open-world gacha adventures.

Instead of another open-world gacha, Petit Planet appears to be a life-simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This explains the name change; "Petit Planet" evokes a charming, management-focused experience, unlike MiHoYo's typical gacha RPGs.

Launch Date Uncertainty

The game is still under development, with no official release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July. HoYoVerse registered Petit Planet on October 31st, and the new name now awaits US and UK approval.

Given MiHoYo's track record (consider the rapid launch of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can hope that approval will quickly lead to a reveal of Petit Planet's gameplay.
