Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup for the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2, as announced on Xbox Wire. This announcement comes just before the Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23, where fans will be treated to a first look at several day one Game Pass releases, including "Doom: The Dark Ages," "South of Midnight," "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33," and a mysterious fourth game.

Kicking off the Wave 2 lineup on January 21 is "Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders," available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, as a day one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This sequel to "Lonely Mountains: Downhill" introduces cross-platform multiplayer for up to eight players, offering a thrilling experience of racing down snowy slopes either cooperatively or competitively.

On January 22, "Flock" joins Game Pass Standard on consoles, inviting players to enjoy the joy of flight and collect adorable flying creatures in a cooperative multiplayer setting. Also on the same day, "Gigantic: Rampage Edition" launches across Cloud, Console, and PC, available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive edition of the MOBA hero shooter promises dynamic team-based gameplay with a diverse roster of heroes.

January 22 continues with the addition of "Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess" to Game Pass Standard on consoles, offering a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game. Additionally, "Magical Delicacy," "Tchia," "The Case of the Golden Idol," and "Starbound" also join the Game Pass Standard on various platforms on the same day, ensuring a diverse range of gaming experiences.

On January 28, "Eternal Strands" hits Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day one release on Cloud, Console, and PC. This debut fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games combines magical abilities with powerful weaponry in a third-person action-adventure setting. Alongside it, "Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap" also launches as a day one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering an action-packed third-person shooter and trap defense game.

On January 30, "Sniper Elite: Resistance" launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day one release, providing players with immersive sniping, stealth, and tactical combat in occupied France. The following day, January 31, sees the release of "Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector" on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, continuing the acclaimed RPG series with a new dice-driven adventure.
