With Black Friday just around the corner, Best Buy is kicking things off early with a special Halloween "DoorBOOsters" promotion. This offer features the massive 77-inch LG B5 4K OLED Smart TV, now available for just $1,499.99 with free shipping. This represents a massive 50% instant savings. As a 2025 model, the B5 is fully equipped to unleash the full potential of PS5 gaming. While typically more affordable than the LG C5 or G5 models, it usually retails for around $2,000 or higher. This is undoubtedly the most competitive price we've seen since its launch.

The LG B5 features a W-OLED panel that delivers a superior viewing experience compared to non-OLED TVs. Its advantages include a near-infinite contrast ratio, incredibly fast response times, and the ability to produce perfect blacks. While it doesn't include the Evo technology found in the pricier C-series—meaning it isn't as bright as the C5—its performance is very close to that of the previous generation's C4 model due to general yearly improvements. If you're deciding between a 77-inch LG B5 and a similarly priced 65-inch LG C5, we'd strongly recommend opting for the larger 77-inch screen.

OLED TVs are widely regarded as the top choice for gaming, and the B5 upholds this reputation. It comes with a native 120Hz refresh rate and four HDMI 2.1 ports, enabling 4K gaming at up to 120 frames per second on consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The TV also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM).

Is the LG B5 OLED TV Good for the Nintendo Switch 2?

Although a current-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2 has less demanding TV requirements than the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When docked to a TV, it outputs a 4K signal at up to 60 frames per second. Interestingly, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is not supported in docked mode and is exclusive to handheld play. Despite this, the Switch 2 will still benefit significantly from an OLED TV's exceptional picture quality, similar to how the Switch OLED model looks better than the original Switch, even with comparable screen specifications.
