Beta Launch on September 5

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will host its first closed beta test exclusively for PlayStation 5. During EVO VEGAS 2025, Arc System Works, Marvel Games, and PlayStation Studios revealed in a beta trailer that the CBT will run from September 5 to September 7, 2025.

Players in the PDT timezone can access the test starting September 5, while those in JST and UTC timezones will begin on September 6. To register, visit the official PlayStation closed beta website for the game and fill out the registration form.

Please note that a PlayStation Network account and an internet connection are required to take part in the CBT. Selected participants will receive an invitation via email.

The CBT trailer offered additional details about the test's features, including six playable characters, online matches, spectator mode, training tutorial, and more. A demo of the game was also available throughout EVO 2025, where the developers hosted a Developer Combat Panel to share insights into its gameplay mechanics.

Additionally, the upcoming closed beta will incorporate rollback netcode to ensure a seamless online experience. Online lobbies will allow players to navigate using their own Marvel avatars, searching for matches or observing other fights.

Similar to the public demo at EVO 2025, the beta will include six playable characters: Captain America, Iron Man, Storm, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, and Doctor Doom. All battles will take place on the New York stage.

As the developers release new information and provide more opportunities for fans to experience the game, Marvel aims to make a strong comeback in the fighting genre. This new 4v4 experience is being developed in collaboration with Arc System Works and PlayStation.
