by Daniel May 18,2025

The long-awaited official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally dropped, offering fans an exciting glimpse at the beloved characters brought to life. Maia Kealoha steps into the spotlight as Lilo, showcasing her interpretation of the iconic role originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. The trailer highlights Kealoha's performance, promising a fresh yet faithful portrayal of the character.

In addition to Lilo, we get a better look at Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, alongside Zach Galifianakis, who takes on the role of Jumba, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. An intriguing twist in the trailer shows Jumba and Pleakley temporarily disguised as humans on Earth, adding a new layer to their characters. However, fans can still catch a quick glimpse of Pleakley in his classic alien form.

The trailer also recreates several iconic scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic entrance resembling a falling star, his attempt to blend in at the animal shelter by mimicking a dog, and the heartfelt moment when Lilo declares, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, joining the ranks of other beloved Disney classics transformed into live-action. This release comes shortly after the live-action adaptation of *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for March 21, 2025.
