by Patrick May 27,2025

The PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, accompanied by a host of PC-specific features, as revealed by a trailer that was briefly published and then removed by Sony Interactive Entertainment on the PlayStation YouTube channel. The internet, as always, was quick to capture and share the trailer, which we anticipate will be officially released soon.

The trailer not only announced the PC launch but also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This news comes more than a year after the successful April 2024 launch of Stellar Blade on the PS5.

Stellar Blade on PC comes packed with features tailored for the platform, including AI upscaling with Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display support, enhanced environment textures, and DualSense controller support for haptic feedback and adaptive trigger effects.

In addition to these technical enhancements, the trailer showcased new content, including a boss battle against Mann, the Leader of the Sentinels, and 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on PS5 as well. Intriguingly, the trailer ends with Eve releasing a memory stick—a scene not present in the original game—sparking speculation about a potential new ending or additional DLC.

The trailer also confirms the Stellar Blade Complete Edition will be available on both PC and PS5. The game has been a significant success for the Korean developer Shift Up, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The studio anticipates that the PC version will surpass the sales of the PS5 version, which sold over a million copies within two months of its release. Shift Up is also considering developing another game in the Stellar Blade franchise.

In Stellar Blade, players assume the role of Eve, fighting against mysterious invaders to reclaim Earth in a fast-paced action RPG. The game received a 7/10 from IGN, praised for its action elements but critiqued for its characters, story, and some RPG mechanics. Despite these critiques, it quickly became popular, selling a million copies soon after launch.

"Stellar Blade excels in the crucial aspects of an action game, but its less engaging characters, narrative, and certain frustrating RPG elements keep it from reaching the top tier of its genre," as noted in our review.
