'Konosuba' Mobile Game Ends, Offline Version Teased

by Brooklyn Jan 09,2025

The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025. After nearly five years, both the global and Japanese servers will be simultaneously shut down. However, developers are planning a limited offline version, preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events for players to revisit. Details regarding this offline version are still scarce.

In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024, and official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. Players can still utilize existing in-game Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until the game's closure date.

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise, launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021. The game featured a charming narrative, appealing visuals, and a visual novel-style story mode. Despite its initial success, it ultimately succumbed to the challenges faced by many gacha RPGs, including declining player engagement and rising production costs. This closure is part of a larger trend of anime game shutdowns in 2024.

If you haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have a few months remaining to download it from the Google Play Store. Don't miss this opportunity to explore its world before the servers go offline.
