King of Fighters ALLSTAR Ending Service

by Ethan Dec 31,2024

The popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, will be shutting down on October 30th, 2024. Netmarble, the game's developer, announced the closure on their official forums. In-app purchases have already been disabled.

This news comes as a surprise, given the game's six-year run and numerous collaborations with other prominent fighting game franchises. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters series, has enjoyed considerable success.

According to Netmarble's announcement, a contributing factor to the closure is the depletion of characters from the King of Fighters roster suitable for adaptation into the game. While likely not the sole reason, this provides some context for the decision.
