Jurassic World Rebirth Revives Lost Crichton Scene
Jurassic World Rebirth features a sequence from the original Jurassic Park novel that was omitted from the groundbreaking 1993 film, its writer has confirmed.
In an interview with Variety, David Koepp, who penned the screenplay for the iconic Jurassic Park and returned to write this summer’s Jurassic World Rebirth, explained that he revisited Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park novels to reignite his creative vision, as there is no source material for this new sequel.
Consequently, Koepp "did incorporate elements from the novels," including one particular sequence from the first book previously left unused.
"There was a scene from the first novel we always wanted to include in the original movie but couldn't fit in," Koepp revealed. "Now we finally have the chance to use it."
Koepp did not specify which sequence he was referring to, sparking widespread fan speculation. Among the possibilities, several scenes are considered the most likely candidates.
