NBC Universal has unveiled the gripping final trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into the film's key elements and showcasing both classic and newly introduced dinosaurs. The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, and follows an extraction team on a perilous mission to the world's most dangerous location: an island that once served as a research facility for the original Jurassic Park, now home to the most formidable dinosaurs left behind. Directed by Gareth Edwards, known for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the film is penned by David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Jurassic Park.

Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. The surviving creatures are confined to isolated equatorial zones with climates similar to their ancient habitats. Within this tropical biosphere, the three largest creatures on land, sea, and air hold the genetic key to a revolutionary drug that promises miraculous life-saving benefits for humanity.

Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert tasked with leading a specialized team on a clandestine mission to retrieve this vital genetic material. Their operation takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a civilian family whose boating trip was disrupted by aggressive aquatic dinosaurs. Stranded together on a forbidden island, once home to a secretive Jurassic Park research facility, they navigate a landscape teeming with diverse dinosaur species. It's here that they uncover a sinister and shocking secret that has been concealed from the world for decades.

The final trailer offers several highlights, including a thrilling river raft scene inspired by Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel. Screenwriter David Koepp, who re-read Crichton's novels to prepare for this sequel, incorporated a sequence from the first book that was originally omitted from the 1993 film. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp explained. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"

Can a T-Rex swim? Yes, it turns out.The trailer also introduces new dinosaur species, including the 'D-Rex,' officially named Distortus Rex. This unique creature, a blend of a T-Rex and a Rancor from Star Wars, is described by director Gareth Edwards as "kind of like if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor."

This is the Distortus Rex, aka the D-Rex. Rancor vibes?Additionally, viewers get a glimpse of the winged Mutadons, a hybrid of a pterosaur and a Raptor, as described by Koepp.
