"Ironheart Trailer: Riri Williams Smashes Truck, Meets Untrustworthy Hood"
Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for "Ironheart," the highly anticipated Disney+ series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In this new show, Dominique Thorne returns to her role as Riri Williams, the armored superhero introduced in 2022's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," joined by Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer offers fans an exciting glimpse into the series, which centers on Riri's transformation into a standout superhero, stepping out from her previous supporting role in the MCU.
The trailer hints at a complex dynamic between Riri and The Hood, with Parker Robbins initially appearing as a mentor figure who encourages Riri to realize her full potential. However, there's an underlying suggestion that The Hood's motives may be more sinister than they seem. "Ironheart" is set to launch with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+, with Ryan Coogler serving as an executive producer.
Riri reflects on her experiences in "Wakanda Forever" as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal moment when The Hood challenges her moral boundaries, stating, "anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up, taking to the skies, and demonstrating her strength by grounding herself and delivering a powerful punch that sends a truck flying over her head.
