New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride at Disneyland Paris

Exciting news for Disney fans! The highly anticipated Lion King ride is set to grace Disneyland Paris, bringing new images, details, and a construction start window slated for Fall 2025. As revealed by Disney Parks Blog, this landmark attraction will be a centerpiece of the revamped Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World. This new land, inspired by the 1994 classic film, will not only feature a thrilling water ride but also include a majestic 120-foot-high Pride Rock, along with a variety of dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greet experiences.

A new concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting. This scene is just one highlight of the ride, which will also feature an exhilarating 52-foot drop, making it slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

While an exact opening date is yet to be announced, the Lion King ride is expected to open after the debut of World of Frozen in 2026. It will be a key component of Disney Adventure World, which will expand to double the current park's size.

In addition to The Lion King and World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World will introduce the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, where Mandy Moore reprises her role as Rapunzel. Another first-of-its-kind attraction themed after Up will also be added, offering a "spinning carousel" with breathtaking views of the park's landscapes.

The new park entrance, World Premiere, set to open on May 15, 2025, will evoke the glamour of a Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to it, World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and London's West End, will host theaters showcasing productions like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
