Big news for *Star Wars* fans was revealed at Star Wars Celebration: Hayden Christensen is officially returning as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of *Ahsoka*. While specific details about Anakin’s role in the upcoming season remain under wraps, this announcement is sure to excite fans who have been eager to see more of Ahsoka’s journey with her former Jedi master.

Christensen made a special appearance at the *Ahsoka* panel, where he expressed his enthusiasm for stepping back into the role. “It was a dream to get to do,” he shared. He praised the creative approach taken by the production team, particularly highlighting the use of the mysterious *World Between Worlds* concept. “The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant in getting to explore the World Between Worlds. I thought it was all really exciting.”

*Ahsoka* series creator Dave Filoni playfully noted that bringing Anakin back required some imaginative storytelling. “I had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen,” he joked, hinting at the unique narrative paths being explored to reintegrate Anakin into the story.

Christensen also discussed diving deeper into Anakin’s experiences during the Clone Wars era. Although much of this period has been explored through animation, especially in *The Clone Wars* series, he was excited to bring those moments to life in live-action. “All of this had been presented well in the animated world, but I was really excited to do that in live action,” he said. He also mentioned enjoying the updated look for Anakin, moving beyond the traditional Jedi robes seen in the prequel trilogy.
