Goat Simulator Card Game Arrives This Year

Who would have predicted this? Goat Simulator is getting its own card game! What will it look like? I can't wait to see how this offbeat concept translates to tabletop gameplay. The physical card game is slated for release later this year.

Coffee Stain North, the studio responsible for Goat Simulator, has partnered with MOOD Publishing for this unconventional project. MOOD Publishing is known for adapting popular video games into board games, including Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game.

What Do We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game?

Details remain scarce at this early stage, but we do know it will accommodate 2-6 players engaging in goat-fueled chaos. Expect the same irreverent humor and unpredictable gameplay that defined the original, now packaged in card format.

The physical card game will launch via Kickstarter later this year. If you've ever experienced the ridiculous physics and mayhem of the original game, you can probably imagine how that energy might translate to cards.

Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, perfectly captured the spirit of the project: "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That's why we've partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You've seen goats on your screen; now it's time to bring them to your tabletop."

From Joke to Genre-Defining Phenomenon

What began as an April Fool's Day gag in 2014 has grown into an enduring franchise. Available across PC, consoles, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade, the absurd goat simulation has maintained cultural relevance against all odds.

With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy of its chaotic predecessor, the franchise now expands into card games. While we wait for more details, you can experience the original madness via the Google Play Store.
