Genshin Impact 5.7 Update: Skirk and Dahlia Debut Soon

HoYoverse has officially revealed the details of the upcoming *Genshin Impact* update — Version 5.7, titled "A Space and Time for You." The update is set to go live on June 18th, bringing with it a rich blend of new characters, story progression, gameplay modes, and interactive events that fans are sure to appreciate.

Skirk Arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!

One of the most anticipated highlights of this update is the debut of Skirk, a mysterious figure deeply connected to the Abyss and widely believed to be Childe’s elusive mentor. Skirk introduces an innovative combat system centered around dual fighting styles and features a unique mechanic known as Serpent’s Subtlety, offering players a fresh and dynamic playstyle experience.

Joining her is the new 4-star Hydro character, Dahlia, who serves as the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. Dahlia excels in a support role, enhancing team synergy and utility. The first half of Version 5.7 will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun of Shenhe. In the second half, fan-favorite characters Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, and Emilie will return.

Where’s the Story Heading?

Version 5.7 continues the narrative from the Bedtime Story questline, diving deeper into the Traveler’s bond with their lost sibling. The Abyss Order begins its movements in Natlan, stirring tension across the region. Mavuika and her allies prepare for conflict, while Dainsleif returns in a surprising new form to aid the Traveler in battle.

Meanwhile, the Sumeru Akademiya introduces a brand-new simulated adventure event blending tactical choices with randomized elements. Players will build teams using Companion Pieces and choose between two distinct paths: the dense rainforest or the harsh desert.

New Permanent Mode: Stygian Onslaught

Genshin Impact Version 5.7 also adds a permanent game mode called Stygian Onslaught, featuring three rotating bosses and six escalating difficulty tiers. Players can earn valuable rewards such as Artifacts and a new item named Dust of Enlightenment, which allows you to re-roll substats on Level 20 Artifacts—offering more control over your gear progression.

Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter

Additionally, a new slice-of-life content series titled Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter debuts in this update. It showcases lighthearted stories spread across Teyvat, giving beloved characters like Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori their own mini-adventures filled with charm and personality.
