Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 5.5, titled "Day of the Flame's Return," is set to launch on March 26th, promising an exciting expansion in Natlan. This update will not only advance the storyline but also introduce significant gameplay enhancements, including the long-awaited controller support for Android devices. For those eager to learn more about compatible controllers, you can find detailed information here.

What Does Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Have in Store?

In this update, players will explore the southwestern part of Natlan, encountering a new tribe, a colossal volcano, and fresh characters. The Great Volcano of Tollan, a site of ancient secrets and a dormant sacred city, will be central to the narrative. Players will delve into the mysteries surrounding the "Flamelord’s Blessing" and the enigmatic Little One, all while navigating the magma-filled environment.

You'll also meet the Collective of Plenty, a tribe that values physical strength and integrates it into their daily life.

Two new characters are set to join the game: Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user who uniquely restores Phlogiston after consuming food, offering a novel support role outside of combat, and Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user and one of Natlan's six heroes. Iansan combines offensive and supportive abilities, gaining a Warming Up effect after a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst, which allows her to provide continuous healing.

The first phase of Version 5.5's Event Wishes will feature Varesa and Iansan, along with a rerun for Xianyun, followed by reruns for Xilonen and Venti. Here's a glimpse of what's coming:

The Bloomflower Trials Are Making a Comeback

The update will see the return of the Bloomflower Trials, where players will assist Mavuika, Ifa, and other Natlan allies in helping a sick Saurian. A new mini-game, "Saurian Treasure Seeker," challenges players to guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures, with the opportunity to invite Ororon for free upon participation.

On the challenge side, a formidable new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, awaits in the volcanic fissures. You can download Genshin Impact from the Google Play Store to experience this expansive update as soon as it's released.
