"Back to the Future's Time Machine Now Available in CSR2"

Zynga is bringing a nostalgic thrill to the racing scene with a special crossover in Custom Street Racer 2, also known as CSR2, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic film, "Back to the Future," directed by Robert Zemeckis in 1985.

CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future

Starting today, players can add the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first movie to their collection and race it on the virtual tracks. While the car doesn't offer any performance enhancements or special abilities, it's a fully functional vehicle within the game. Beyond just the car, CSR2 is rolling out a comprehensive Back to the Future-themed experience.

The crossover introduces a custom in-game user interface inspired by the film, a brand-new storyline, and a series of exciting events. There will be three dedicated flash events centered around the Time Machine, along with a community competition. Zynga has assured that additional themed events will be released throughout the year, making this more than just a fleeting update. Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!

While the game doesn't allow you to travel back to 1955 like in the movie or even in games like Reverse:1999, this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now drivable in-game, which is thrilling in itself.

Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, described the Time Machine as one of the most recognizable and beloved vehicles in cinematic history. He emphasized the excitement of allowing players to virtually race this iconic car while commemorating the movie's milestone anniversary.
