Friend List Raids Unleashed in Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go simplifies Raid joining via friends list! This update allows players to easily join raids with Great Friends or higher.

Need a break from group play? Simply opt out!

While news is slow as the year winds down, Pokémon Go players have a new feature to enjoy during the upcoming holiday events. Niantic has implemented a small but significant change: directly joining friends' raids.

Now, you can easily see if friends are in a raid, what Pokémon they're battling, and join to assist – no invite needed (for Great Friends and above). Prefer solo play? Disable this feature in the settings.

Solo Play Option Available

The official Pokémon Go blog details this change. While seemingly minor, this long-awaited update reflects Niantic's increased responsiveness to player feedback. It streamlines raid participation with friends.
