Foamstars, Square Enix's Answer to Splatoon 3, Becomes Free-to-Play in Less Than a Year Since Launch

Foamstars, Square Enix's 4v4 premium shooter, will transition to a free-to-play model, as declared by the company today in a support page update. This shift also eliminates the PlayStation Plus subscription requirement. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, Foamstars will be free to download and play commencing October 4, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.

Players who pre-purchased Foamstars will receive a Legacy Gift. This unique in-game pack contains:
 ⚫︎ 12 color-variant Bubble Beastie skins
 ⚫︎ 1 exclusive Slide Board design
 ⚫︎ 1 title: "Legacy"
