Feral Interactive Releases Imperium Update for ROME: Total War

If you're a fan of the iconic strategy game *ROME: Total War* on Android, you're in for a treat. Feral Interactive has just rolled out the massive Imperium Update, enhancing your gaming experience with a host of gameplay tweaks, control improvements, and quality-of-life features. Originally launched on Android back in 2018, this classic game is now even better. And the good news doesn't stop there—next week, the standalone expansions *Barbarian Invasion* and *Alexander* will receive the same exciting update.

What Does the Imperium Update Bring to ROME: Total War?

The Imperium Update brings some of the most acclaimed features from Feral's newer mobile releases, such as *Total War: MEDIEVAL II* and *EMPIRE*. With three new control options—Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection—players now have more precise command over their units, making battles more strategic and engaging. You can now effortlessly move your armies, agents, or fleets by simply tapping and holding, eliminating the need to manually drag paths.

Positioning Mode allows for meticulous unit placement through a simple tap-and-hold action. The Group Grid feature simplifies managing unit groups with an intuitive collapsible selection menu. Melee Mode introduces the ability for ranged units to seamlessly switch to close combat when the situation calls for it.

A standout feature is the Command Slowdown, which automatically slows the game down during complex order issuance, giving you more time to strategize. Additionally, for the first time, *ROME: Total War* on Android (and iPad) now supports keyboard and mouse, enhancing your control and immersion.

The minimap has been revamped to resemble the one in *MEDIEVAL II*, offering smoother zooming and navigation. A new reset button allows you to quickly revert to the default view, enhancing usability.
