"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has now made its way to Android devices, offering a unique blend of elements at a price of $3.99. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this game combines the genre of a walking simulator with an eerie twist that challenges players at every turn.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate through an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. The game traps you in a loop where everything from the tiles and lights to posters and a solitary man walking towards you repeats incessantly. The core challenge lies in identifying anomalies—be it a poster with a changed graphic, flickering lights, or even something as stark as a river of blood replacing the floor. The gameplay revolves around noticing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

The rule is simple: if you spot something out of the ordinary, turn back. If not, continue moving forward. Your objective is to reach the eighth exit without making any mistakes. This means correctly spotting and responding to eight consecutive anomalies. Fail to do so, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms, with settings modeled after real Japanese metro stations like Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. This influence is evident in the claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 immerses players in an environment that demands active engagement with their surroundings, searching for the smallest details that could signify danger or a shift in reality. The game's ability to make you question your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels unique.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took about nine months to develop. Following its launch, it garnered an impressive 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
