Elden Ring-Like Open-World Action RPG Where Winds Meet Is Out Now

Where Winds Meet has arrived on Android after months of speculation and demo releases. This open-world ARPG is developed by Everstone Studio and published globally by NetEase Games, set against the backdrop of tenth-century China.

A Wuxia open world this vast?

Where Winds Meet invites you to explore a world shaped by the tumultuous Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms era—a time of shifting alliances, volatile power struggles, and battles that redrew the map of empires.

You play as a young swordmaster with no memory of your past. As you traverse the bustling alleys of the imperial capital and the secluded corners of untamed wilderness, the world reveals hidden secrets, branching tales, and unexpected detours.

Your reputation is shaped entirely by your choices. You can ignite chaos, defy the law, earn bounties, and find yourself behind bars. Or you can walk the path of honor—aiding villagers, forging alliances, and slowly rising as a hero in a Wuxia world on the brink of collapse.

It’s Where Winds Meet with depth and scale

Cities, temples, forests, forgotten tombs, and quiet enclaves of daily life unfold across more than twenty distinct regions. The world breathes with the rhythm of day and night, shifting with the weather. Many activities exist simply to enrich the world’s texture—playing the flute beneath willows, sharing drinks beneath paper lanterns.

Build your character around close-quarters combat, ranged strikes, stealth, or a hybrid approach. Weapons span the classic sword and spear to dual blades, glaives, fans, and umbrellas. You can seamlessly switch between these, along with bows and martial arts such as Tai Chi.

If you’ve followed the game over the past year, you’ve likely noticed its defining trait: staggering scale. Layers of regions unfold endlessly, teeming with factions, professions, activities, and distractions. Explore alone, or turn it into a shared co-op journey.

Check out the game on the Google Play Store.
